Whether you’re visiting the Surrey Hills from abroad, elsewhere in the UK, a neighbouring county or you’re a local just getting into road cycling and would like the benefit and guidance of an experienced road cycling companion, let Surrey Hills Cycling take the stress out of the ride by doing the planning for you, picking a perfect route based on your needs and capabilities, including distance, time, elevation and coffee stops.
Surrey Hills Cycling is not a ‘tours’ company or ‘training camp’, we’re just enthusiastic road cyclists based in Surrey with local knowledge, that love the Surrey Hills and we want to make sure that every road cyclist that visits, gets the most out of their time in this beautiful area of the UK, not wasting time looking at maps, doing U-turns or getting lost.
From the climb with the world’s highest number of Strava segment attempts – Boxhill – with its stunning views and jewel-in-the-crown status in the former Prudential RideLondon100, to the fearsome Barhatch Road in Cranleigh with its 20+% gradients, as well as all the beautiful surrey lanes and picturesque villages in between such as Shere and Albury, there’s no shortage of varied tarmac and scenery to enjoy and we can link it all together for you and show you around.
But we don’t stop there, as not far from the southern borders of Surrey are the rolling hills of the South Downs which include yet more beautiful places to ride and some choice climbs such as Duncton Hill, near Goodwood.
So, whether you missed out on a place for the RideLondon100 (now the RideEssex100) and you fancy visiting Surrey to test yourself on all three of the routes major climbs, or you want to make the most of your time riding in the Surrey Hills, or you simply want some experienced guidance on your first foray on the road, we welcome all and we can be flexible to your needs to ensure that you have a great day out with maximum enjoyment and good company.
We'd love to hear from you and help you discover the Surrey Hills by bike, so get in touch.
